No secret, we use only the freshest chicken available (never frozen), honey dip the chicken for a perfect burst of flavor, hand bread each piece and then pressure cook it to perfection. All of this coupled with Lee’s commitment to our customers, the community and keeping prices affordable has helped Lee’s become Lima’s favorite place for Fried Chicken.
The first Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken opened in 1966 at 1425 Allentown Road under the name “Harold’s Take Home’. After continued support from the Lima Community, Franchise Owner, Charlie Yohe aka Chicken Charlie decided to open a second store at 959 Bellefontaine Ave., in 1974. Over the years Lee’s has went through several facelifts and changes but one thing remains consistent, their famous recipe.
Today, Lee’s remains a proud community supporter and dedicated to providing great food at reasonable prices, outstanding customer service and using only the freshest ingredients the market has to offer.
Lee’s has grown to become the premiere provider of fresh menu items such as, Fried Chicken, Jumbo Breast Strips,
